We are delighted to be working with WaterWipes again this year.

WaterWipes were created by their founder Edward McCloskey after his new-born daughter suffered with bad nappy rash.

After an extensive search he couldn’t find a baby wipe that didn’t contain chemicals or other ingredients as these would’ve been too harsh for her sensitive skin, so he decided to make his own.

Many years later and after a lot of hard work, testing, and scientific research, WaterWipes were born.

Specifically developed to provide safe cleansing for the most delicate newborn skin, WaterWipes are so gentle they can also be used on premature babies. WaterWipes are also proud to announce that following a review of the scientific literature by its team of independent experts, the Skin Health Alliance has validated that WaterWipes baby wipes are purer than cotton wool and water. The water used in WaterWipes undergoes a seven step water purification process which results in an ultra-pure solution, which is why WaterWipes are the world’s purest baby wipes.

WaterWipes are recommended by midwives and other healthcare professionals worldwide, and are the preferred wipe for many Neonatal Intensive Care Units throughout Ireland, the US, Australia and New Zealand.

WaterWipes is supporting us this year by funding our printed About Neonatal Care information, so parents have the information they need to be involved in their baby’s care, and by helping us produce our popular set of baby cards available free to parents this World Prematurity Day.
