Fundraise for World Prematurity Day

Make a difference this World Prematurity Day by fundraising for Bliss. You will be helping to give every baby born premature in the UK the best chance of survival and quality of life.

Taking place on 17 November, World Prematurity Day is a global movement to raise awareness of premature birth.

To take part, organise a World Prematurity Day fundraising event. You could fundraise as an individual, with a community group or even on a neonatal unit (if restrictions allow).

Find out below how you can get involved.

What can I do?

Light up the night with Bliss Little Lights

Take part in a magical lantern-lit walk. Host your own sponsored walk on Saturday 13 November (or a date that suits you), following any local Government guidelines, so that we can safely light up the night for babies born premature or sick.

Visit our Little Lights page to find out more and sign up.

Host a Bliss PrematuriTEA party

Whether you are fundraising virtually, on a neonatal unit or at home, put the kettle on, Bake for Bliss and serve up a celebration tea party with a difference.

Host a Wear Purple Day

You could also host a Wear Purple Day for World Prematurity Day and ask everyone to donate £1 to wear something purple on your neonatal unit, workplace or school. If everyone is working from home, why not have a lunchtime video call with everyone wearing purple, and ask everyone to donate to a JustGiving page?

If you want to do something different and do your own thing that's great, let us know what you have planned.
