Festive fundraising

Baby dressed as an elf

The giving season is upon us! If you’re wondering how you can raise money for babies born premature or sick, see below for some fun festive fundraising ideas.

Holding an event for Bliss is a perfect opportunity to get together and celebrate with family, friends and colleagues. Try one or more of our festive fundraisers below:

Party Time

Get Active

  • Challenge yourself to a winter run or cycle, but make it festive. Dress up in a Santa Suit or your most outrageous Christmas Jumper.
  • Take the plunge - if you live near the sea or swimming ponds, why not do a sponsored wild swimming challenge. Perhaps a Boxing Day Dip!

Dress Up

  • Have a Christmas Jumper Day at work! Everyone pays £2 to take part, and best/worst jumper gets a prize!

Get Creative

  • If you knit, crochet or sew, could you use your creativity to raise money for premature or sick babies? Hold a raffle and make the prizes yourself. Alternatively, gift your friends and family with your creations in return for donations to Bliss.

Decorate

  • Bring a bit of festive sparkle to your street this Christmas! Decorate your house and ask neighbours and friends who enjoyed the lights to donate to your fundraiser.
  • Light up the night for babies born premature or sick by organising a Bliss Little Lights walk this winter.

Shopping

  • Support babies born premature or sick this winter when doing your online shopping.
  • Find out all the ways you give as you shop, such as Amazon Smile or Easy Fundraising.

Christmas cards

Give away

  • Make your own festive hamper. Choose what items you want to include, decorate it with festive cheer and hold a raffle or auction to raise some money for Bliss.
