Fundraising at home

Kerry Millar permission for Bliss and Kiltwalk 2

Here are a few ideas to help support premature or sick babies.

Bliss Little Heroes

If you've got kids at home, they might like to become one of our Bliss Little Heroes this spring and complete some sponsored superhero challenges.

Bliss Night In

Host a night in with friends using one of the free video apps such as Zoom, Skype, Discord or Houseparty. Enjoy the company of all your friends together, play games, have your own choice of drinks and snacks. Ask friends to donate what they've saved from a normal night out to Bliss.

Host a Virtual Pub Quiz

If you are a general knowledge whiz, create a virtual pub quiz. Set up your fundraising page for Bliss by asking for a donation to enter the quiz you host. Contact our events team if you'd like a round of questions all about Bliss!

Gaming for Bliss

Are you rediscovering Sonic, Mario or Fifa Championship Manager? Now is the perfect time to set up a livestream via Twitch and stay connected through gaming.

Find out more about how you can raise money for Bliss with gaming.

Raise money while you shop

Whether you are doing your weekly supermarket shop, renewing insurance policies or doing other shopping online, by logging in through EasyFundraising you can get companies to donate to Bliss at no extra cost to you.

You can also donate to Bliss or Bliss Scotland using Amazon Smile.

Brave the Shave

With hairdressing and barber services currently closed, you might be joining people in growing beards or shaving their hair off at home.

Set up a fundraising page with a target and see how many sponsors you can get.

We have had a number of Bliss supporters videoing their 'shave' after getting sponsored by friends in the past, like Dave who raised £1000 for Bliss before shaving off his beard. Take a look at his boys' reaction to seeing their dad without his beard for the first time below.

Did you know?

You can now livestream an event to a JustGiving fundraising page.

E-mail our events team for advice on how to do this.

Celebrate with Bliss

If you have a birthday, bat or bar mitzvah, anniversary or another celebration coming up, why not bring the celebration online?

Ask friends and family to give a donation to Bliss instead of what they would have spent on the event.

If your child spent time on the neonatal unit, you can also set up a tribute fund for people to donate to.

Bake for Bliss

Whether you are delivering cakes to doorsteps, hosting a virtual prematuriTEA party or teaching your friends how to bake - there are so many ways you can raise some dough for Bliss!
