We are pleased to announce that The Sun has launched a Christmas appeal to raise money for Bliss.

The ‘Light up Christmas’ appeal launched on Saturday 24 November with stories about Charlotte, Rosie, Ruby, Aria, Nylah and Grayson; six babies who spent their first ever Christmas on the neonatal unit.

Funds raised in this Christmas appeal will go a long way in helping us achieve our ambition of reaching every baby born premature or sick and their families with our information and support services.

The Sun will also be organising Christmas care packages to deliver to parents who are spending Christmas on neonatal units across the country.

Bliss Chief Executive Caroline Lee-Davey said: “We are so grateful to The Sun for choosing to support Bliss this Christmas.

“One in every eight babies in the UK is born in need of specialist care, so all of us will know at least one family who have had a baby born premature or sick. But many people don’t understand what it really means to have a baby on the neonatal unit. We hope this campaign will shine a light on what life is like for these poorly babies, and for their families.

“With the help and generosity of Sun readers, Bliss will be able to reach even more babies born premature or sick and their families with support this Christmas and beyond.”
