JustGiving help for Bliss Little Heroes

Find out how setting up a JustGiving page can get your fundraising off to a flying start

We recommend you set up a JustGiving page in your own name as soon as you decide to join Bliss Little Heroes, this will:

  • Show the walk host and Bliss that you are committed to attending the walk and helping premature and sick babies.
  • Maximise your fundraising as walkers who set up a JustGiving page usually raise more in total than those who use a paper form alone.
  • Creates some fun competition between team walkers.
  • Ensure money comes to Bliss automatically .
  • Make it easy for us to know when to send your thank you gifts out to you .

We do not suggest sharing pages as only the named page holder can be offered a free t-shirt and thank you gifts.

Setting up a JustGiving page:

Hosts and Fundraisers:



  1. Click on Start fundraising and Log in or sign up to JustGiving
  2. Click on Taking part in an event then organised event
  3. Choose Bliss Little Heroes 2018
  4. If wanted, customise the page URL’s and then check the two questions are answered no. Click on Create your page

Now it’s time to personalise your page (you can always return to this at a later date if needed)

  1. Click on personalise your page and enter as much information as you can – telling your own story with your photos will help people understand why you want to help raise money for premature and sick babies. Be ambitious with your fundraising target as this could encourage more donations to your page. When you are ready click save and continue.

  2. You can now share your page with friends, family and colleagues.

Top tips:

  • Return to your page to post updates, using photos if possible

  • Every time someone sponsors you say a thank you on your social media pages – this might encourage others to sponsor you too!

  • Set up a TextGiving code to offer people a different way to donate

  • Download the JustGiving app for immediate notifications when someone sponsors you

Hosts only:

Now it’s time to set up a team. Once you have set this up your walkers can join it and you can see at a glance how much your walk has raised.

  1. Click on edit your page
  2. Scroll down to connect your page with others and click on Start a team
  3. Complete the details of your team and set a team target. Click on Make a team page
  4. You can then personalise the page as you want
  5. Make sure you invite walkers to join your team, send them the web address of the page (www.justgiving.com/teams/...) and ask them to click 'Join the team'

Top tips:

  • Be ambitious with your team target - why not aim for £1,000? If your team reaches this milestone we will send you, the host, a special glass trophy

Fundraisers only:

Take a moment to join the team page. Ask your host for a link to the team page. You can join the team at any time – it does not need to be done at the point of setting up your page.
