Help shape our work

Join our growing community to share your opinions and help us improve families’ experience of neonatal care.

The Insight and Involvement Group was created to make sure the voices and experiences of those closest to neonatal care are listened to and learned from - your views matter to us.

It’s your chance to use your lived experience to help to shape and develop Bliss' work. You’ll be a part of a group made of more than 250 people who have experienced neonatal care, whether they are parents or other relatives of premature or sick babies, or older neonatal patients themselves.

Thank you for your interest in joining Bliss’ Insight and Involvement Group. We are not currently recruiting new members. Please come back to this page later in the year to express your interest in joining.

The Insight and Involvement Group will receive opportunities such as:

  • Contribute your experiences to review and evaluate Bliss' work
  • Helping to ensure our communications are parent-focused
  • Contributing to a research project, for example attending research meetings
  • Helping shape the strategic direction of our fundraising and services
  • Feeding into the Bliss research team to help determine which projects to support

We are looking to have a wide range of neonatal experiences in this group to accurately represent the diversity of a neonatal unit. You do not need any prior knowledge or skills to join this group, other than to have some lived experience of neonatal care.

Some of the opportunities we post may not apply to you, but you can get involved in as many or as few of the opportunities as you wish, this will not affect your membership of the group.

How do I contact the group?

If you are a healthcare professional or researcher who would like to contact the Insight and Involvement Group with an opportunity to help shape your work, please read our research support policy and complete our social media request form. Send to research@bliss.org.uk
