Bliss was one of seven award winners at the event hosted in London and will receive a £5,000 unrestricted grant.

We are delighted to announce that we have received the Embracing Digital award at this year’s UK Charity Governance award ceremony.

Judges selected Bliss as the Embracing Digital award winner after our online overhaul yielded great results for public engagement and income. Adopting a digital-first strategy has transformed the way we support parents. Our data-informed digital marketing has helped 30 per cent more people access essential information online since our strategy was launched.

Chief Executive Caroline Lee-Davey said: “We are absolutely thrilled to receive the Embracing Digital Award. I’d like to extend my thanks to everyone at Bliss who contributed to making our digital-first strategy a success, and of course to our trustees for challenging and encouraging us to be bold in how we make best use of digital technology to reach our audiences. It is wonderful to be recognised for our team’s hard work and the award will inspire us to continue with the next phases of this work.”

Michael Howell, Chair of the Trusteeship Committee of the award organisers said: “Congratulations to all our outstanding winners – they have triumphed in our strongest field of entries yet. The hard work, dedication, ambition and innovation shown by our winning trustee boards provide real life lessons to us all in the charity sector.”

The winners of the awards were announced on 24 May 2018 at an event at Clothworkers’ Hall in London. The seven charities that won prizes will each receive a £5,000 unrestricted grant.
