Role Summary

The Senior Digital Officer is responsible for maintaining Bliss’ website on a day-to-day basis making sure that the website’s functionality and content is of the highest standard and providing an excellent user experience.

Terms

  • 21 hrs per week
  • Based in London SE1, with agile working policy enabling balance between office and working from home.
  • 1 year fixed term contract with potential to extend
  • Salary: £34,000 FTE

You will also work closely with the Digital Programme Lead taking responsibility for various digital projects and website developments as well as supporting staff across Bliss with their digital needs. You’ll be part of the newly expanded digital team at Bliss and supported by the Digital Assistant.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience of working in a digital role, managing websites and digital projects and be able to work on their own initiative.

You will also have excellent understanding of user needs and how to use this to create digital services, tools and content. You’ll be flexible in your working approach and able to use an agile and iterative approach for digital developments.

You will use your digital skills and understanding to help edit, create and manage the Bliss website on a day-to-day basis including regular monitoring through analytics and other relevant analytics tools.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation to provide digital training and support. You’ll also work closely with our website agency on support requests and projects as and when required.

Bliss’ 22-25 strategy also includes a significant focus on tackling health inequalities, so an important part of this role will also be to ensure that our work with users - to review and improve our website and develop new digital products – is fully inclusive and representative.

You will be motivated by an excellent understanding of the impact and reach that digital can have and be able to demonstrate a wide range of digital skills including the following:

  • Significant experience in website CMS, management of a website and a range of digital technologies
  • Good knowledge of search engine optimisation to increase the targeted traffic
  • Experience of AB testing and piloting of digital projects
  • Experience in digital project management and working with a range of digital products
  • Good knowledge of digital trends and ability to keep up to date with advances
  • Experience of digital innovation and a creative approach to finding solutions and solving technical issues
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of user research and testing, as well as experience of or a desire to learn how to conduct research
  • Experience of google analytics and other methods of measuring digital performance and using this data to inform and drive development
