We have a fantastic opportunity for a digital savvy Public Fundraising Innovations Programme Lead to join the Fundraising Department at Bliss. This role will be responsible for maximising the use of opportunities presented by current trends in digital and virtual fundraising to innovate and diversify the Community & Events programme and Individual Giving programme.

Role summary

Bliss is the UK’s leading national charity for babies born premature or sick, and we are looking for a Public Fundraising Innovations Programme Lead to join our talented and successful Fundraising Department.

This role will drive forward innovation within our Community & Events and Individual Giving programme by developing our Facebook Challenge programme, testing and piloting new supporter recruitment campaigns, growing direct marketing appeals alongside regular giving and supporter journeys. A key focus of this role will be digital supporter engagement.

We are looking for someone to drive forward our Facebook Challenges in Community & Events and someone with broad direct marketing experience who is excited about the opportunity to develop and grow the Individual Giving programme. One in seven babies is born premature or sick and needing care on a neonatal unit – this isn’t what most parents expect for their baby. The ideal candidate will have experience in at least one of:

  • events or community fundraising and a proven track record in growing income from a variety of different sources
  • Significant experience in digital and virtual fundraising in Community & Events and Individual Giving
  • Significant experience in using data and audience insight to develop supporter journeys

  • One year fixed term contract (potential to extend)
  • 28-35hrs per week
  • £37,000 FTE
  • Hybrid working with 2 days per week in our London office
