Bliss Interim Chief Executive

Are you interested in joining an organisation making a difference to the 100,000 babies born needing neonatal care each year in the UK?

As our substantive Chief Executive goes off on maternity leave, we are looking for an experienced and capable interim to take over the reins and provide clear and stable leadership to the organisation as we deliver a busy year of activity: in 2019 we are marking our 40th anniversary, a special opportunity to mark the progress that has been made in neonatal care since we were founded in November 1979, as well as the significant contribution that Bliss has made to this progress and to supporting thousands of families, health professionals, researchers and policy-makers during this time. We are also launching our new three-year strategy in April 2019, which builds on the achievements of our 2016-2019 strategy, going even further to align our strategic objectives to the outcomes we are seeking to achieve for babies born premature or sick.

We are also, of course, conscious of the competitive funding situation across the charity sector, and know that we must therefore plan and phase our work carefully, and find new ways of working, to remain nimble in what continues to be a challenging external environment. We are also in the process of moving to a new business and operation model, and over the next year will need to focus on embedding this fully and sustainably across the organisation.

If you have the experience and passion for our work to lead Bliss in delivering all of the above over the next year, we'd love to hear from you.
