Our Scottish campaigners went into overdrive during World Prematurity Day 2013, with 45 writing to their MSPs and MPs, encouraging them to wear their purple ribbons and take part in a special 30-minute debate.
The debate, which had members speaking from all the major Scottish political parties, was engaging and poignant. A number of MSPs discussed their own personal experience of neonatal care, which included one speaker having had a baby cared for in a SCBU. Bliss were also recognised and thanked for our positive role in helping to set up the Scottish neonatal standards.
We're hoping this year’s World Prematurity Day will be even bigger and better than last year. Have a look to see how you can get involved
