Bliss is looking for a Volunteer Support Officer to join our Information and Support Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation and contribute to our vision that every baby born premature or sick in the UK has the best chance of survival and quality of life.
Our Information and Support Team provides emotional support and information for parents and families of babies born premature or sick, during what can be a very difficult time in their lives. Many of our services are delivered by our fantastic volunteers across the country, who deliver emotional support via our helpline, face-to-face in neonatal units, and in family groups.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate who will be responsible for coordinating the recruitment and monitoring of volunteers across the country, ensuring that our processes are robust, of high quality, and deliver the support our volunteers need. This role will support the delivery of our new strategy, which focuses on improving outcomes for babies, however long they live and however long their stay in neonatal care.
You will have a track record of working with volunteers, have good organisational skills and strong interpersonal skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation in helping to support premature and sick babies and their families.
