Bake for Bliss, 12-15 February 2015

In February 2015, hundreds of bakers in Britain will be baking up a storm to raise dough for special care babies and their families, so why not join them? Your support will help families during what can be a very lonely and frightening time, and provide a brighter future for their babies.

Whether you’re a budding baker, a cake connoisseur or Mary Berry herself, there couldn’t be an easier or better way to show your support for the 80,000 babies born premature or sick every year than hosting a Bake for Bliss sale.

But don’t do it alone – why not recruit friends, family or colleagues to help you with the promotion, baking and selling? Make sure you give them plenty of notice and maybe a free cupcake for their trouble!

Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson who plays Alicia Metcalfe in the British ITV soap also supports Bake for Bliss. Natalie who started her TV career as Stella Davenport in the medical drama The Royal and appeared in the stage musical Wicked in 2009, says: ‘I have always closely followed the work of Bliss, who are a charity for babies born too soon, too small and too sick and even more so after having complications when I gave birth to my son Freddie last year. Getting behind Bake for Bliss will hopefully encourage people to make, bake and sell cakes to help raise funds for premature and sick babies and their families’
