9 month Fixed Term Contract - Maternity Cover

Full time, 35 hours a week
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 circa pro rata

Bliss is the UK charity that cares for premature and sick babies. We provide practical and emotional support to families during an extremely difficult time, so they can give the best care to their babies. Our specialist study days and training supports doctors and nurses to develop their skills and we fund research to improve the care of all sick and premature babies. We raise awareness of the issues affecting special care babies and fight for essential change within government and the NHS.

We are recruiting for a Senior Project Officer (maternity cover) to drive a number of key projects that will help neonatal doctors and nurses improve the quality of care that they provide to babies and their families. The role involves working with a wide range of health professionals, families and partner organizations to produce resources and run programmes that will make a real difference to premature and sick babies and their families.

We are looking for someone who has confidence, diplomacy and passion; who is a self-starter with excellent communication and project management skills. You also need to have a flexible, positive and solution-orientated approach to work. Experience of working in or with the NHS would be a significant advantage.
