In 2013 the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety in Northern Ireland released a review of paediatric health care services, and opened it to consultation. The review aimed to:
- Improve services
- Improve the delivery of age-appropriate care
- Develop a specific neonatal care service specification
- Implement a 24-hour transfer service
Bliss responded to the consultation with BAPM, welcoming the review and highlighting the importance of the specific neonatal service specification and transfer service in particular. We also called for the Northern Ireland Executive to address issues surrounding staff levels more fully.
This page will be updated with news of the review as it progresses, so make sure you check back.
