Having a premature or sick baby can leave parents and families feeling anxious and helpless, wondering where to turn. Bliss is there to provide advice and support.
Here's how we supported babies and their families last year.
In this video we focus on three key areas of our work and how we are making a really positive impact on the care and treatment provided to special care babies and their families.
Bliss Nurses have supported thousands of anxious parents, helping them to grow in confidence and play a key role in caring for their baby. Our work with doctors and nurses in neonatal units across the country has improved the quality of care that is given to babies and their families. Thanks to the growth of our volunteering programme, thousands of families are receiving direct support, both on the unit and after their baby has gone home.
We've achieved a lot, but there is still so much more than needs to be done.
You can get involved with Bliss and support the 80,000 babies born too soon, too small and too sick in the UK each year.
