At Bliss, we know that a family centred developmental approach has better outcomes for babies and families in neonatal care. This approach means less stress for babies, shorter hospital stays and better long terms outcomes. Parents feel more involved in the care of their babies and relationships between hospital staff and parents are strengthened.
The Family and Infant Neuro-developmental Education (FINE) Level 1 programme covers the scope and evidence supporting this approach and explores the practical aspects of implementation. Topics include:
- Preterm brain, motor and sensory development
- Parent infant relationship and parent’s journey
- Observing and understanding infant behaviour
- Kangaroo care
- Baby-led feeding
- Managing stress and pain
To register please complete and return an application form should you wish to attend the one of the next training events.
