Bliss Scotland - Fundraising Officer (21 hours per week, one year temporary contract)


Bliss Scotland exists to ensure that all babies born premature or sick in Scotland have the best possible chance of survival and quality of life. We are looking to recruit a talented Fundraising Officer to support our exciting plans to expand our activities across Scotland. Currently, around 5,800 babies are born in Scotland each year needing neonatal care, and the sad truth is that we are not able to reach all of them. We have huge ambition to support every baby, and their families, and for this we need to increase our profile and raise more funds.

We are looking for a pro-active team-member, who is experienced in establishing relationships with community groups and companies, as well as developing existing relationships. You will be responsible for generating income by delivering the Scottish community fundraising strategy and plans for generating income from community groups, companies, schools and individuals undertaking community events locally.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop this new role and really shape the charity’s Scottish fundraising activities.

You will also be responsible for recruitment and relationship management of our new community volunteer programme in Scotland, and facilitation of all Scottish volunteer fundraising.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate good event management, administration and excellent supporter care experience, experience of working in community fundraising, as well as some experience of working in a busy supporter facing environment and be prepared to work at a fast pace and able to prioritise own work load.
