Bliss, the special care baby charity is delighted to announce the appointment of their new Chief Executive, Caroline Davey.
Caroline joins Bliss from Gingerbread, the national charity for single parents where she has been the Director of Policy, Advice and Communications. In this role she led on policy and campaigning work as well as overseeing the delivery of multi-channel information and advice services for single parents. Caroline is also a trustee of Crisis, the national charity for single homeless people and was previously the Deputy Director of Communications, Policy and Campaigns at housing charity Shelter.
Caroline has spent much of her career working in organisations supporting families and is bringing her breadth and depth of knowledge and skills to lead Bliss, who are developing an exciting new five year strategy.
She said, “I’m delighted to be joining Bliss and its dedicated team of staff, volunteers and supporters. In recent years Bliss has made considerable gains in ensuring that premature and special care babies and their families receive the best possible care and support, and I share the organisation’s ambition to achieve even more. I’m looking forward to working with the team and all of Bliss’s partners across the UK to champion babies’ and families’ needs, and to drive continued innovation and quality improvements in their care.”
Caroline will replace interim Chief Executive Melissa Green at the beginning of November.
