Lily's ball brings family closer to £75,000 fundraising target

20 October 2016

Fundraiser Marie Bailey is another step closer to reaching her fundraising target of £75,000 after the success of her annual ball.

The event, known as Lily’s ball, took place on 15 October at The Belfry in Sutton Coldfield. Over 250 guests enjoyed a delicious three course dinner, luxury auction, raffle and dancing. The night raised £9,300 and Marie has already booked in next year’s event.

Marie’s commitment to Bliss stems from her experiences 10 years ago when her daughter Lily was born three months early, weighing just 2lb 9oz. Lily spent nine weeks in hospital, but is now a happy and healthy ten year old.

Community and Events Manager at Bliss, Frances Llewellin, says: “We can’t thank Marie enough for her continued support of Bliss. We are all blown away by her dedication, and by the generosity of those who attend Lily's ball each year. Thank you!”
