Mum Liz Hillier knows only too well how hard seeing your baby in neonatal care can be. When her daughter Bethan was born she became critically ill after she developed NEC, an infection in her bowel; thankfully, Bethan is now a happy and healthy four year old.
Liz is an active campaigner, who works to make sure babies in hospital receive the best possible care, and has regular meetings with her MP. Liz decided to not only campaign but to raise money for Bliss as well by holding her own Buggy Push in Ipswich last Friday. Ben Gummer MP, Member of Parliament for Ipswich and Liz’s local MP was there to show his support for Bliss and to open the Buggy Push.
Although money is still coming in Liz’s ‘Pimp my Pushchair’ Buggy Push and walk is set to raise over £800 for babies born too soon, too small and too sick.
