Director of nursing at Health Education England, Professor Lisa Bayliss-Pratt visited the neonatal unit at the Royal London Hospital on Wednesday 9 April, with Bliss Chief Executive Andy Cole. Health Education England is a special health authority of the NHS, and provides leadership and coordination for education and training within the health and public health workforce in England.
During their visit to the Royal London Professor Bayliss-Pratt toured the neonatal unit and its parent facilities, and met with nursing staff and families. .
The visit also included the London neonatal transport service and their specialist ambulance teams
Andy Cole said: “It was a pleasure to see how staff at the Royal London Hospital’s neonatal unit are working so well to ensure that premature and sick babies receive the best care. It was also a great opportunity to discuss nursing standards and training with Dr Bayliss-Pratt.”
