We are pleased to announce that Bliss has been selected to sit on the group for the Scottish Maternity and Neonatal Services Review.
The review, chaired by Jane Grant, Chief Executive of NHS Forth Valley, will examine the choice, quality and safety of maternity and neonatal services in Scotland, in consultation with health professionals, Health Boards and parents.
The review, which was announced in February, will make recommendations about how quality, safety and choice in maternity and neonatal care can be improved in a report to be presented to Ministers in summer 2016.
Helen Kirrane, Bliss Campaigns and Policy Manager and representative on the group said: “I am delighted to be a part of this group. It is vital that babies born premature and sick receive the highest quality care to give them the best possible start in life. This review provides an opportunity to identify areas for improvement and ensure services are able to consistently meet care standards.”
The group will meet for the first time on October 20.
