Bliss is pleased to launch a new video to accompany the Bliss Family Friendly Accreditation Scheme (BFFAS).
The scheme, which stems from the Bliss Baby Charter, is a toolkit designed to help neonatal units self asses the quality of family-centred care they provide and identify areas for improvement.
The new video has been created to assist the BFFAS booklet, and provides advice and guidance for health professionals looking to complete the audit tool. It’s also for parent volunteers so that they feel confident to tell health professionals about the accreditation scheme.
Our aim is that the scheme becomes a quality standard that serves as a meaningful and effective benchmark for assessing performance, rewarding achievement and driving improvement.
All neonatal units are able to apply for accreditation. If successfully completed, units will be eligible to apply for a grant of up to £10,000 from the Bliss Baby Charter Grant Fund, to improve their family friendly facilities.
